If you have Windows 7 or 8/8.1 you will by now have the icon in your taskbar notification area (normally bottom right by the time) that invites you to upgrade to Windows 10. If you do not want to upgrade or if you don’t want the icon sitting there even if intend to upgrade you may wish to remove the icon. There is a Youtube video that runs through a number of methods to do this.
The upgrade to Windows 10 will be available on 29th July 2015 and will be available for free for a year. Whether you upgrade or not is completely up to you. If you have Windows 7 and are happy with it, you may like to keep it. Many people have not been happy with Windows 8/8.1 so upgrading should be an improvement. Some argue that it might be worth waiting for a few months for the new operating system to “settle in” and wait for any glitches to be ironed out.
