Talktalk hacked

Hopefully all of you Talktalk customers have seen the news and are already being careful. It appears that all of Talktalk customers’ details may have been stolen by the hackers and therefore you need to watch your bank and financial transactions for any abnormal activity. The hack first was noticed on Wednesday 23 October 2015.

Talktalk will be contacting all customers to warn them about the attack and will provide advice. They are offering a years’ free credit monitoring.

But, what you will need to be very careful about is spoof contacts that may appear to be from Talktalk but are in fact other criminal groups using people’s worried state over the Talktalk attack to gain further information. If you are asked via email or via a website to provide bank details, personal details, usernames passwords etc, DON’T.
